SYNOPSIS:
Nature is my church. Wandering, intentionally lost in the vast woods, is my ritual. There is great comfort in the simple, cold and hostile way the natural world manifests and evolves. Erratic, blind yet with fierce intent on surviving.
This soundscape is recorded in a cottage far away in the woods, in a place called Pärnämäki. The whole track revolves around a sauna session. Lighting it up, throwing steam, and in the end resting on the pier. It's also a mental trip into a place where I spent some of the most frightening moments of my life, Pajamäki. In the abandoned trenches used in the last Finnish war, something crept inside. It is released in this soundscape.
The title is translated as "From Pärnämäki to the trenches of Pajamäki" (mäki = hill).

LYRICS:
Desert of the soul. Desert and oasis. The same desert we all roam in. The same we all dig gold in. A desert. Hands bound, mouth full of sand. Bleeding, waning moon
